Wood blocks painted with strand and knot segments are meant for interactive play with gallery visitor in Wood Grid Cubbies. Blocks are placed next to each other so that the lines and strands connect across the plane. Grid can be altered to represent different systems of boundaries like statistics on homophily, systemic “red-lining” or physical map boundaries to human connection. In this iteration, red boundary lines on an x and y axis represent any obstacle to connection and shape the ever-changing “net-work”. Meant as method of mapping social and individual agency within a system.
